वाडा संस्कृती · The Soul of Pune
Pune has its own rhythm. It begins at daybreak with the scent of wet basalt, the crisp morning air of the tekdis, and the clatter of brass strainers at corner tea stalls. Step inside the historic peths of Sadashiv, Narayan, Shaniwar, and Budhwar, and you will find sunlit wada courtyards that have welcomed guests for centuries.
At Mrunmayee, we cook the food we grew up eating: recipes seasoned with freshly roasted goda masala, fresh coconut, and hand-patted grains. We do not believe in hurried dining. Take a seat on our baithak, listen to the afternoon quiet, and let the food remind you why Pune holds a place unlike anywhere else in Maharashtra.
Come as a guest, leave as family.
अस्सल पुणेरी स्वाद · Puneri Comfort Food
At Mrunmayee, you taste the genuine food of Pune: from quiet morning wada courtyards to the buzzing addas of Fergusson College Road. Here, food is steeped in tradition and care: the fiery red tarri of a steaming Puneri misal, crisp kothimbir vadi straight from the iron kadai, and hand-patted jowar bhakri accompanied by a spoonful of spicy garlic kharda.
We slow-cook with stone-ground goda masala, cold-pressed peanut oil, and pure cow ghee. No shortcuts, no compromises. Just honest, soulful Maharashtrian hospitality.

Begin the morning with a steaming plate of Kande Pohe or crispy Bhajaniche Thalipeeth crowned with cultured white loni. Midday calls for rustic Pithla-Bhakri, slow-braised Bharli Vangi, or comforting Varan-Bhaat drenched in golden sajuk ghee.
As twilight settles over the peths, friends gather over bubbling brass pots of Amruttulya Chaha, crunchy Shrewsbury biscuits, and celebratory glasses of thick Alphonso Mango Mastani.

पुण्याचा वारसा · Pune Heritage
Pune is the cultural capital of Maharashtra. A city sculpted by the Peshwas, the legacy of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, the craftsmanship of Tambat Ali, and the timeless spiritual grace of Budhwar Peth. From the bastion walls of Sinhagad to the carved teak chowks of Shaniwar and Vishrambaug Wadas, here is the city that inspires our hospitality.
“Pune is the Queen of the Deccan, where the morning mist of the tekdi meets the warmth of a brass cup of chaha, and hospitality is timeless.”
